About Tess
From a musical family, Tess played the piano from age 4 through 13. She also started singing in the church choir when she was 10 years old. She is known for her warm and passionate style. Tess has performed in many nightclubs, benefits, concerts and festivals and most recently at the Benaroya Hall (the new Symphony Hall in Seattle). She also studied Jazz Vocals at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle and is a graduate of Seattle University, where she received her degree in Public Adminstration.
She has performed in Asia, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, Hawaii and Los Angeles as a vocalist and has appeared with jazz greats; Jessica Williams, George Gaffney, Earl Palmer, Diane Schuur and Kenny Kirkland. She has been singing professionally since 1996.
Tess has recently started her own production company called Empress 88 Productions (in memory of her grandmother who passed away in June 2001). She manages a few bands and primarily produces concerts for non-profit agencies.
